I hate being sick. Really hate it. I'm coughing, have a very sore throat, etc. I believe I mentioned this in an earlier post. I am just hoping it doesn't get any worse. With my lung condition, if it does it could land me in the hospital and that would be bad. Nina would have to go stay with my parents and would be absent from school. I suppose I shouldn't worry about it too much. Worrying won't change anything.

I got my small solar panel up today. I put it on a window that cranks out. Ran the wires in and it's ready to charge a battery tomorrow. I haven't got a diode to keep the electricity flowing just one way yet, so I'll have to remember to unhook it when it's getting dark. A guy in the local Freecycle group has offered me an antenna tower. I'll go get it Saturday. I can put up a wind generator then and that will help a lot. Electricity prices here tripled in some cases after the new year. It sucks.

Well, I was outside all day yesterday and am paying for it now. My throat is sore and scratchy and I have an unproductive cough and feel like there's something in my lungs. :P I did, however, manage to pick up a lot of broken glass that has been dumped on the property I'm living on. I'm going to have to figure out how to transport it all to the recyclers.

On a better note, I have 4 apple tree seedlings, 3 wisteria seedlings and one cotton seedling looking very good. None of my osage orange or empress tree seeds have come up tho and that worries me. I put them in the freezer and I'll take them out in a few days and try it again. Sometimes if they haven't been exposed to cold for long enough they don't want to germinate. I'm hoping this will do the trick. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I've been having a horrible time with headaches the past few days. Sinus headaches that border on making me want to cry. Sometimes they almost make me puke. I get so sick of being in pain. If it's not a headache, it's my back pain. If not the back, then my knees. If it's none of those then I'm having a problem with my breathing. Being ill sucks. Try to avoid damaging your back and knees, pray you never get diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and if you are lucky you live someplace where you aren't allergic to everything that grows.

On a better note, I was at the post office today and they have issued some new stamps featuring COMIC BOOK characters and covers. Chapter One (the first installment) is DC Comics, with Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Batman, Flash, Plastic Man, Aquaman, Supergirl and Hawkman. I can't really afford to collect these. However I did buy a sheet. I had to. I love my comic books. I've got over 300 comics stored in my mom's basement. I tried to sell them and a guy tried to tell me he might be able to give me $50 for them. I passed. Some are in mint condition. All are from the 70s and 80s. They aren't in the neat little packages, but one day I might be able to afford to put them all in the plastic sleeves. Right now they are in plastic tubs. I might have to get all 4 sheets of stamps as they come out. I'm getting ready to hook up a small solar panel I've had for a couple of months. I figure maybe if I can power the lights and stuff in my bedroom then I will be able to afford the stamps, hehehe.

I have a headache. Nina's been quite pissy today. I can understand why, but that doesn't mean I like dealing with it. She was upset about some math she had to do and she ended up taking it out on me and mom. I know I will feel better once we get home. We are at mom's house now. I'm kind of delaying going home so she can spend some extra time on the web without having to use my laptop. We don't have Internet out there so the only access she has is using my cell card. It's a dial up through Verizon that's a pcmcia card that is basically a cellular modem. We pay a flat fee for it and it's slow. Slow as in 14.4 slow. The plus side to this is that we could surf the net driving down the highway or sitting at the lake. The down side of this is that it's SLOW. And had I mentioned that it's SLOW? It's very slow. Especially when you are used to dsl or cable. I have found that there's hot spots at the mall in Marion. You can sit in their food court and surf at at least dsl speed, might be faster. I'm thinking about making a web page listing all the hot spots I find in southern Illinois.

I am also thinking about creating a CD of wallpapers I have created and marketing it. It would be nice if I could kind of have a source of income other than my disability. Without the child support my ex-husband isn't paying, it's pretty awful trying to support us. My parents help out and I save cans. Either Nina or myself crush the cans at mom's on a weekly basis and I crunch them at home when I put them in a bag. With aluminum at 70 cents a pound I can usually get around $8 to $10 at the end of the month when I'm brokest. I haven't received any child support from my ex-husband since the middle of October and I'm seriously thinking about hunting him down and hurting him. The Department of Child Support Enforcement is supposed to be working on it, but I'm still waiting. The thing that gets me is that he got mad at me so he decides he doesn't need to pay it anymore. It doesn't even cross his mind that he's harming his daughter. And of course he believes that his daughter hates him because I told her too. He can't see that she is old enough to realize by his actions that he doesn't care about her at all, otherwise he would support her. For the past few years, it's always somebody else's fault with him. It is taking me a long time to realize that none of his bullsh*t was my fault. That's probably why I don't want to date anybody. I don't want to play the head games or deal with the blame for somebody else's inadequacies.

Go download some. They are quite interesting, sure to be unique. And how do you beat FREE? I would like to sell some but there doesn't seem to be much of a market for them so I'm doing a bunch of free ones to see if anybody even wants them. I like then, but that might be the problem. I have odd tastes, not mainstream. Might be they are too odd for the target audience. Or too tasteful, lol.
