It's pissing down rain. I'm damn glad I'm not in the camper right now. It should be ice so I guess we are lucky, but it's so wet it's miserable. I haven't moved anything in two days as the front yard there is a sea of mud. I'll have to work on it tomorrow if I want to be there this weekend. Still, it makes the arthritis in my back really ache between the moisture and the attempts to keep my balance while walking through the mud. www.weather.com says it's supposed to rain all day tomorrow and Sunday too. :P
My 12 yr old introduced me to this funny video on YouTube called Shoes. It's HILARIOUS. I found the guy's website that made the video and saw his newest video, Text Message Breakup. It's even BETTER. It should appear in a posting here shortly. I haven't embedded a video before so we will see. I hope it works right.

Text Message Breakup

Everyone should see this. It's MOST EXCELLENT!

Trying to get things moved to Goreville has been torture. There's a sea of mud in front of the trailer and with it being so cold and wet my arthritis has been giving me grief. I even forgot (horror of horrors!!!) to update this blog. Soon things will be OK again tho and I'll be safely ensconced in the middle of nowhere, happy as a clam.

With it being 2007 now, I've started thinking about the state of the United States. When I think back, it seems to me that instead of the establishment promoting peace, love and understanding an attitude of intolerance has begun to grow again. Especially towards gays. Being a woman and therefore a second class citizen anyway, this pisses me off. Really, by now there should be either gay unions or just flat out gay marriage. I've heard people argue against gay marriage saying that they felt it would detract from what they have as a marriage if gay people were allowed to marry. Bull. A marriage is what you make it and nobody else's marriage is going to change that. Change the name and call it a civil union with the same rights and responsibilities? Pure semantics. Call it a golden delicious, a winesap or a cameo, it's still an apple. I don't like the idea that anybody is discriminated against legally. It's not right. So think long and hard about these potential presidential candidates.
